About Us
Chief Editor
Sharon E. van der Wel (née, Meidt) has a PhD in physics and 19 years of research experience. Born and educated in the U.S.A., she moved to Europe for work as a professional astrophysicist, holding research appointments first at the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy in Heidelberg, Germany and later at Ghent University, Belgium, where she is now an Assistant Professor.
She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and the author of 140+ peer-reviewed articles in leading journals in her field. She has edited numerous manuscripts written by native and non-native English speakers.
